After the sheer silence of two months in Major League Baseball, the past week has been quite busy for both the owners and players. And following the press conference of MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, it seems the lockout will soon be over. Apart from the CBA negotiations, Manfred also announced some major changes in MLB for the 2022 season.

When the regular season will commence, a universal DH (Designated Hitter) will be allowed for every team in MLB. And after this news broke out, NFL legend Lance Briggs suggested the former Cubs hitter, Kyle Schwarber, make a comeback to his former club.

Notably, the recent meetings have not been fruitful for either side of the table. And in order to start the season as per schedule, the owners and players have to find the solution for the new CBA deal as soon as possible. Else, not only spring training but the league games will also be in danger.

Lance Briggs suggests Kyle Schwarber return to his former club

When Manfred announced that the owners have agreed to the inclusion of universal DH (Designated Hitter), it was a clear sign that the owners are listening to the players’ demands this time. And with this news, NFL legend, Lance Briggs, suggested Kyle Schwarber come back to his former club, Chicago Cubs.

Briggs took to his Twitter and suggested Schwarber’s return. “Schwarber coming back?” tweeted Briggs.
Notably, Schwarber has played six seasons for the Cubs from 2015 to 2020. However, at that time, MLB teams of the National League were not allowed to play a universal designated hitter. Not to mention, Kyle Schwarber is currently is in his free agency.
