“No One to Blame but Myself” – Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez Has Made Peace With Being Left Out of the Hall of Fame

It’s been approximately three weeks since David Ortiz got his Hall of Fame induction in Major League Baseball. But the debate over Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens not getting the same is still raging. Apart from Bonds and Clemens, Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez also didn’t get the Hall of Fame induction.
Recently, an old video of him has been doing the rounds about his point of view on the Hall of Fame. “A-Rod” opened up about his case to be inducted in the Hall of Fame.

Making it to the Hall of Fame is the dream of every MLB player; however, only a select few ever get to experience that. This year’s Hall of Fame result was more controversial. In a video from 2019, former Yankees player Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez revealed that he if doesn’t get the Hall of Fame. Then he has no one to blame but himself.

When asked for his comment on the Hall of Fame, “A-Rod” described it as a polarizing subject, and said he would love to get in the Hall of Fame.
“It’s a polarizing subject. You can’t run away from it. I’ve taken the approach that I think talking about it is best and look, I make no surprises or secret. I’ve made my mistakes and have paid huge penalties. I would love to get in, but I understand that if I don’t make it to the Hall of Fame, I can live with that… I cannot believe I put myself in that situation (of not getting into the Hall of Fame). But if that happens, I’ve no one to blame but myself,” said Rodriguez.

Notably, this year A-Rod didn’t receive the required 75% votes for the Hall of Fame induction. He received only 34.3% votes. However, in the coming years, there is still the chance that he might get his Hall of Fame induction. And even if he doesn’t get it, then A-Rod seems to have made his peace with it.
