St. Louis Cardinals’ first baseman, Albert Pujols, has scored his first home run for the Cardinals since rejoining them. Notably, the MLB 2022 season will be the last season of Pujol’s baseball career. The Cardinals re-signed Albert Pujols on March 28th, 2022, just 10 days before Opening Day.
42-year-old Dominican Albert Pujols has begun his final MLB season with a bang as he scored his first home run of the MLB 2022 season. On April 13th, 2022, the St. Louis Cardinals faced the Kansas City Royals at the Busch Stadium, in Missouri.

Albert Pujols returned to the St. Louis Cardinals after 11 years on March 22nd, as he signed a 1-Year, $2.5 M contract with them. Cardinals fans were delighted to hear this news, as Pujols returned to the Cardinals for his final MLB season. On April 12th, 2022, Pujols scored his first home run for the MLB season and his 680th career home run.
In the 1st Inning, Pujols scored the home run to a pitch by Royals pitcher, Daniel Lynch, into the Deel Left. Pujols scored a home run after 3855 days since his last game with the Cardinals in 2011.
