Albert Pujols may not be the hitter, that he was in his prime anymore, but he still seems to be formidable. With new footage emerging online of the superstar taking home-plate to some practice pitches, fans online were surprised at how effective Pujols still seemed to be when making contact with the pitches. The impact player that Pujols has been may have seen a decline in his recent output, but the skills that led to his ascent are still clearly there.

Albert Pujols has seen his fortunes swing wildly in MLB. Emerging as a youngster on the St. Louis Cardinals, he switched over to Anaheim in free agency. And while team success eluded him, Pujols was often regarded as the top power hitter in the league. And he has the stats to back that claim. But with the star looking forward to the 2022 season, several suitors have emerged to sign his services.

No matter where he goes, it seems as though the generated interest in Pujols is down to his hitting ability. And he has been doing nothing but showing displays of it in the off-season.

Pujols pulled back no punches as he took to posting a routine of his on Twitter to showcase just how much he still has to offer any roster. Hitting right handed from home plate, Pujols crushed the pitches that made it to his hitting zone with impunity.

Perhaps it is this sustained ability that has generated interest among franchises across the league as they look to sign him. Reportedly, 3 teams are leading the charge on landing the MLB legend. With the Seattle Mariners, the Colorado Rockies and the St. Louis Cardinals all interested in signing Pujols, a home-coming could soon be on the cards for the hitter.

Very few will stand to debate as to whether or not Pujols adds to their line-up as the question seems to be moot. Despite his age functioning as a factor that stands for people to be prejudiced against him, Pujols could stand to spring a few surprises. With his power hits already surprising some netizens, MLB could well be next in line.
