To which Joe Buck replied, “I’ve said this publicly. If you put everything into consideration, especially the defensive position and how great of a shortstop he was. Then for a guy to hit over 600 home runs and 3000 hits, I mean he’s one of the greatest players in the history of Major League Baseball.” Buck later also added, “I didn’t see a ton of his home runs, because I didn’t do a lot of Mariners and Texas games when he was there.”
