“Really Pumped Up for the Season,” Pete Alonso Expressed His Confidence After Hitting His First Spring Home Run

Pete Alonso scored his first home run of the 2022 Spring Training on March 30th, 2022. Alonso scored a three-run homer against the Houston Astros, but the Astros won the game 5-3 in the end. Pete expressed his feelings after the game when he talked about his first spring home run and his strategy behind facing different types of balls.

The New York Mets faced the Houston Astros at the 2022 Spring Training and the Astros ended up defeating the Mets 5-3. Alonso scored a three-run home run, but in the end, it was in vain as home runs from Michael Brantley, Yordan Alvarez, and Franklin Barreto sealed the deal for the Astros.

Pete Alonso pumped up after hitting that home run

In a post-game interview with journalist Michelle Margaux, Alonso discussed how he felt after scoring his first spring home run and what are his strategic plans for the upcoming MLB 2022 season.

“Felt nice to get the first one out of the way. I’m really excited to finish the spring strong, really pumped up for the season,” stated Alonso during the post-match interview with the journalist.
