Pets are the beating heart of any household. And anyone who has one will tell you how dearly they hold them. Their passing is often the same as a family member and looks like the San Diego Padres knows it. Mat Piscatella, recently took to Twitter to thank the San Diego Padres for their condolences on the passing of his dog, Bear. The franchise wished the Padres fan on the passing of his dog. And in an unexpected measure of personal touch added by the ballclub sent a note too. Piscatella tweeted his thanks to the ballclub for their condolences.
The San Diego Padres are an extremely pet-friendly ball club; hosting the “Barkyard” at their home stadium Petco Park. The stadium features an area for Padre fans to come in and enjoy the ballgame with due facilities for their pets, too. And it was these facilities that Bear and Mat would have made the most of in their heyday. And although Mat’s tweet may have spoken about the tears in his eyes, we can all feel his loss.

Piscatella had his own thoughts to add. He wrote, “I’ll just be over here with watery eyes for a while.” Bringing up some relatively sadder memories for the Padres fan for sure, he recounted how Bear loved going to the games with him.

A special non-heat retentive turf adorns the pet viewing area for the pets’ paw comfort. And a pet concierge is also on call to take all pets to and from the pet viewing area at the Barkyard as per their listing website.
The Barkyard may be down a guest but the Padres will definitely be up to several fans. And all down to this gesture.
