Toronto Blue Jays are off to a dream start in the 2022 season. They started their 2022 campaign with an opening day win over the Texas Rangers. All thanks to players like Kevin Gausman and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the Blue Jays have been rock solid in the first month of the 2022 MLB season.

On the other hand, the other division members, the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are having a poor run this season. Though the Yankees won their opening day game against the Red Sox, they also lost against an average side like the Baltimore Orioles.
Coming to the Blue Jays, Kevin Gausman ran riots against the Red Sox on Thursday. Gausman was the star of the Blue Jays on Thursday. While the Yankees ace Gerrit Cole is still struggling to find his form. Cole has been awful for the Yankees this season.

With Gausman’s dominant performance from the mound, the Blue Jays won the third and final game of the series. Meaning they also won the three-game series against the Red Sox. Talking about Gausman, he was fantastic for the Blue Jays on Thursday. The Blue Jays righty threw a total of 88 pitches in eight innings he pitched. Gausman was instrumental against the Red Sox, and he was the difference between the Blue Jays’ victory and the Red Sox’s loss.

The New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole, on the other hand, has not been at best lately. Earlier this week, Cole had said that he will throw 85 pitches in a game for the Yankees this season. Recently, Cole managed to throw just 46 pitches against the Detroit Tigers, far away from 85 pitches. While in the other games too, Cole has not been effective for the Yankees.
