After the game, reporters interviewed Suzuki. His interpreter accompanied him, who helped the journalists translate Suzuki’s words. He was overwhelmed after hitting his first home run for the Chicago Cubs.

“The first two at-bat, my timing was off. So I just tried to get it better. Doing pretty well. I had some good contact tonight. No pressure at all. When you play in games, you want to have an excellent result,” stated Seiya Suzuki via his interpreter.
