WATCH: Arizona Diamondbacks Star Seth Beer Hits Walk-off Home Run on National Beer Day

Major League Baseball is finally back in America. And how? On the opening day itself, baseball fans had a blast. From Ohtani’s stunning start to the New York Mets winning the first game, the opening day was quite eventful. And on top of that, Seth Beer made the day even more memorable with his wonderful gameplay.

Notably, The Diamondbacks hitter sealed the win with a walk-off home run in the opening day game against the San Diego Padres. What is more interesting is that Seth Beer hit the home run on National Beer Day.

When Seth came to bat, no one expected him to hit the winning run against the Padres. He was the difference between the D-backs’ win and the Padres’ loss.

Seth Beer shine in Arizona Diamondbacks’ victory on opening day

The 25-year-old was the star of the day, along with Shohei Ohtani and a few others on the opening day. When Beer came to bat, the D-backs were losing 2-0 to the Padres. And almost every D-backs’ hitter struggled against the Padres starter Yu Darvish. His pitches were so pacy that he fired six innings without getting hit.

But Seth Beer came into the field with a completely different mindset. Beer changed the game completely in the favor of the D-backs. And helped his team register the opening day win.

When Beer hit the winning home run against the Padres, his teammates surrounded him and celebrated the victory by showering beer on Seth Beer. After the game, Beer said that it was a surreal feeling for him. “It was a surreal feeling. It’s still a dream,” said Seth Beer.

Astros and Mets start their 2022 campaign with victory

On the other hand, the LA Angels lost their opening game against the Houston Astros. Shohei Ohtani’s individual brilliance was not enough for the Angels. And despite struggling with injuries, the New York Mets won their opening day game against the Washington Nationals.
