In the 8th Inning of the Braves-Nationals game, 33-year-old, Travis d’Arnaud, reacts comically by falling on the ground after being hit on the helmet by a 52.1 mph pitch by Dee Strange-Gordon. The video of the incident has gone viral as fans demand an Oscar for d’Arnaud. He hilariously lay down on the ground after the ‘hit’ for quite some time before standing up and laughing at Strange-Gordon. Even the players in the dugout and the commentators could not hold themselves from giggling.

Travis d’Arnaud gets faked in the 1st Inning

Before the Travis d’Arnaud- Dee Strange-Gordon, another funny escapade took place in the 1st inning of the game. Washington Nationals’ second baseman Cesar Hernandez created a fake to trick Travis d’Arnaud as a poor throw was made by Hernandez’s teammate. Hernandez quickly acted as if he had the ball to stop d’Arnaud from running from the second base to the third.
