Clearing the benches due to HBP (Hit by pitch) has become a normal trend in Major League Baseball. And a very similar incident happened in the Cubs-Brewers game.

Andrew McCutchen is okay after being hit by a pitch

This is not the first instance of benches clearing in the 2022 season. Earlier on Friday, a similar incident happened when Francisco Lindor of the New York Mets got a nasty hit from a Washington Nationals pitcher.

However, coming down to the Cubs-Brewers game, the division rivals engaged in a huge drama at Wrigley Field. After the Brewers outfielder, Andrew McCutchen got hit on his butt. The incident took place in the eighth inning when the Cubs ace Keegan Thompson was on the mound. After getting hit, McCutchen seemed furious with the Cubs pitcher, and that led the two sides to clear their benches.

However, as per CBS Sports, McCutchen is doing fine. Because his X-rays result came negative. Even after such drama at Wrigley Field, the Cubs crushed the Milwaukee Brewers 9-0.

The two sides will be clashing again on Sunday, and this time, Marcus Stroman will be on the mound. Though it is very tough, it will be interesting to see if the Brewers manage to come back into the game.
