It seems like 2022 Spring Training has been helping outfielder Julio Rodriguez quite a lot. The 21-year-old hit a fantastic home run which helped the Seattle Mariners win 3-2 against the Cleveland Guardians on April 1st, 2022. Julio Rodriguez signed with the Seattle Mariners back in July 2017 as an international free agent.

21-year-old Julio Rodriguez raised many eyebrows on April 1st, 2022, as he scored a fantastic home run when the Seattle Mariners faced the Cleveland Guardians at the Peoria Sports Complex.
The Mariners ended up winning the game 3-2 after home runs by Abraham Toro, Evan White, and Julio Rodriguez for the Seattle Mariners. Meanwhile, Daniel Johnson and Franmil Reyes scored home runs for the Cleveland Guardians.
The MLB 2022 season will be his 5th MLB season with the Seattle Mariners, as he was signed in 2017 as a free agent. Rodriguez was 16 at that time.
Julio Rodriguez scores a staggering home run
The Seattle Mariners and the Cleveland Guardians were tied at 2-2 in the 7th inning during a Spring Training game on April 1st, 2022. Rodriguez was facing 24-year-old Emmanuel Clase in the 7th inning. And during a pitch, Julio Rodriguez swung his bat hard as the ball went to the deep right-center field of the Peoria Sports Complex. Rodriguez flew across the field. At first, everyone thought that Rodriguez would get just a triple, but as the ball touched the wall, there was a fielding error by the fielders. This helped Rodriguez make a sprint to secure a home run for the Mariners. This home run helped the Seattle Mariners gain a lead in the match. Rodriguez’s home run became the winning home run for the Mariners as they sealed the deal at 3-2.

Julio Rodriguez has a lot of potential in his MLB career. The Seattle Mariners will be eyeing a dominant season after they finished 42nd in the AL West Division during the MLB 2021 season. In the MLB 2021 season, the Seattle Mariners won 90 games while losing 72 games.
