The MLB 2022 season has not even started yet and we could see a fight take place in the parking lot at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim between the fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels. The incident took place after the Spring Training game between the two baseball teams.

video has been surfacing on Twitter since April 4th, 2022, where a fight between fans of the teams is visible. Baseball fans quickly took to Twitter to condemn this violent act.

Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels fan fight

On April 4th, 2022, the Los Angeles Dodgers faced the Los Angeles Angels during the 2022 Spring Training at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The Angels ended up winning the game 5-1 after home runs by Jared Walsh, Taylor Ward, Shohei Ohtani, and Anthony Rendon for the Los Angeles Angels. Meanwhile, Gavin Lux scored a home run for the Dodgers, which turned out to be their only home run of the game.

It is not a mystery that both Dodgers, and Angels, are based in Los Angeles, California, which divided the local fans between the two teams. It is not as intense as the El Clásico in soccer, but the games still make headlines every year because of the regional effect. One can see the high intensity of the fans on both sides at the Freeway Series as well.

Rivalries happen in sports, but one should not support or motivate violence in any way. Sports is all about being together and enjoying the live-action. Both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels are two of the biggest teams MLB has ever seen. So they do influence the actions of the fans but it should not result in any form of violence.
