A new advertisement for the 2022 BMW iX went viral as it featured MLB stars Pete Alonso, Tim Anderson, Walker Buehler, and Ozzie Albies. The short video was a comedy act where they go camping in the brand new BMW when an unexpected and intimidating situation takes place.

Just as we are enjoying the daily dose of MLB in our lives, four MLB All-Stars are here to entertain us. New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler, and Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies took part in the promotion of the new 2022 BMW iX for BMW USA. The players presented a 30-second video where they go camping only to create problems for them.

MLB Stars go camping in the wild

The video started with Pete Alonso driving the 2022 BMW iX along with Tim Anderson, Ozzie Albies, and Walker Buehler accompanying him as they are carpooling together into the wilderness. They end up camping as they start pitching a tent to spend the night. Little do they know that they are not the only ones present over there. The four of them start hearing voices of wild animals from the woods and they sprint towards the car to get back to a nearby hotel. In the end, they decide that it is better if they just stick to carpooling together.

The video got viral just minutes after Talkin’ Baseball posted it on their Twitter. BMW USA is known for using MLB players in their advertisements as this was the fifth instance they did it. It sure does bring a smile to your face as no one expects MLB players to be such talented actors to feature in 30-second videos. This is a spot-on marketing strategy for BMW, as it has been just a week since the start of the new MLB 2022 season. It also shows that the brotherhood and friendship between the players, in spite of being on different teams, is commendable.

2022 BMW iX is a fully electric car and was released in the United States in March 2022. The model is available in two types, the xDrive40 and xDrive50, with a top speed of a whopping 124 mph. The xDrive40 model of the BMW iX arrived in India and some parts of the world in December 2021 itself, but the xDrive50 arrived in the US in March 2022. BMW xDrive50 has a starting price of $83,200, specifically in the United States.
