The New York Mets are on a roll. When the 2022 season started, probably no one imagined them doing so well this season. With injuries of key players like Jacob deGrom, and Max Scherzer, the Mets have shown solid resistance in the first month of the season.

All thanks to their new owner, an amazing free agency, and new management, the Mets have got it all covered. They have been a force to reckon with in Major league Baseball this season. However, it has not been easy for the Mets players. Because probably in every single game of this season, the Mets players have been targeted by the opposition.

And the same happened in the ongoing series against the St. Louis Cardinals. A total of three Mets players got hit by a pitch against the Cardinals on Tuesday. However, this time, the Mets responded the same way, and Max Scherzer seemed the most animated person in the stadium.

Currently, Buck Showalter-led New York Mets have won 14 out of 19 games this season. Even while suffering from injuries, the Mets are yet to lose any series this season. With the guidance of the revolutionary manager, Showalter, and the experience of Max Scherzer, the Mets have become a completely different team.

The moment he hit Edman with the ball, the Cardinals player threw his bat on the ground. As per NJ.com, with 18 HBP this season, the Mets players have received the most hit-by-pitches. Given that the season is still in its initial stage, the Mets would want the opposition to control hit-by-pitches. Else, they might respond in the same way.
