The current free agency has been extremely quiet for the New York Yankees. Though the Yankees have missed out on star shortstop Carlos Correa. However, in the name of Anthony Volpe, they have their own upcoming superstar for the shortstop position. And recently, Volpe proved, why is the next big thing in MLB.

Just in a year or two, the Yankees fans will witness the wonderful gameplay of Volpe at the Bronx and elsewhere. Considering his recent performance in the minor leagues, Volpe will be a huge asset for the Yankees in the coming times.

During a spring training match between the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees, Volpe proved himself as a great option for the shortstop position. While defending and throwing the ball with such accuracy, Volpe was inch-perfect with the ball in the infield. 

Recently, a few videos of Anthony Volpe have been going viral on the internet. In which the Yankees fans can see his outstanding skills as a shortstop in the infield.

But too bad for the Yankees, because Volpe is still a minor leaguer. Because he’ll be able to play in the major league only from the 2023 season. Notably, the Yankees are still struggling to find a good shortstop. And after Carlos Correa’s deal with the Minnesota Twins, the Yankees do not have a proper shortstop to add to their roster.
