The MLB is by far one of the highest revenue-generating leagues in America. And its athlete earnings stand testament. Derek Jeter, a legend from the New York Yankees, had recently come out to have his property sold. A mansion in south Tampa, the property is going to give Derek Jeter a decent payout on his palatial residence.

Jeter retired as a New York Yankees legend but has gone on to make his mark on the game even after that. He now co-owns the Miami Marlins and has even served as the franchise’s CEO since 2017. Notably, with his property up for sale since last year, looks like Jeter has finally found a buyer.

Derek Jeter’s exquisite property

The mansion features an impressive limestone and granite edifice and only gets more impressive. Featuring 22,000 square feet of interiors and an additional 9,000 square feet of patios and balconies, spacious would be an unfair description.

The mansion is a palatial residence, to say the least. Reportedly, with hand-polished Venetian plaster, hardwood millwork, silk draperies, the mansion truly is a residence fit for those at the top of the food chain. The marble mosaic tiles and walls of windows overlooking the water only add to the coastal property‘s charm.

The property houses massive rooms including a two-story living room and a kitchen with four sinks and four dishwashers. Big houses do call out for big parties and big cleanups.

The property also houses the typical amenities suite. A wine cellar, a movie theater, and a gym is pretty standard for most athletes’ residence, but Jeter has gone a step further. Featuring a custom clubhouse with a curved wet bar, billiards room, game table, and direct deck access, the house is decked out.

The home features 7 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. These include an owner’s suite with a sitting area and a fireplace too.

To round out the property, it features bubbling fountains in the back. These lead to an 80-foot saltwater pool, spa, and dock with two boat lifts; For your marine transportation needs, of course.

The NFL legend, Tom Brady, rented out the property from Jeter when he agreed to a 2-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. Reportedly, the reason that Brady was interested in renting the property was so that he could also live closer to the Raymond James Stadium, which houses all the Buccaneers’ games.

Brady reportedly was very accommodating of any prospective buyers when renting. This seemingly could be because he plans to move out, anyway.

Reportedly, Brady has bought a separate plot that he is looking to develop as his dream home. He and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, bought a spot on Indian Creek Island in Miami. The plan seems to be to demolish the existing 5,200-square-foot home and build a dream house in its place.

While Brady certainly seems to be getting settled in Florida, Jeter will be happy at what he has made and may look to pastures anew if he wants to invest.
