“Two of the Absolute Legends”: Resurfaced Image of Bruce Lee With His 7′2″ Tall NBA ‘Friend’ Leaves Fans in Frenzy

Martial art legend Bruce Lee impacted many lives across the world. From Hollywood stars to common people, Lee’s charm and knowledge fascinated many. Apart from the glamour industry, Lee also influenced an NBA legend with whom he did his last film in 1972. The 7’2” tall personality has often credited the master for the impact he had on his life. Recently, a resurfaced picture of Lee and his NBA friend displayed their deep connection along with fans expressing their love for it. 

On April 18, Lee’s memoir Instagram page shared a classic image of the master with the six-time NBA Most Valuable Player, Kareem Abdul Jabbar. The picture was from one of Lee’s iconic films, making fans remember the legend.

The latest post shared on Lee’s memoir page showed a black-and-white picture of the master and Kareem Abdul Jabbar from the sets of Game of Death. Moreover, the post also had a caption which was one of the famous quotes of the NBA legend, “Make a friend that doesn’t look like you… you might change the world.” – Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.”

In the picture, the legends were seen relaxing in between shoots. Lee wore his yellow jumpsuit whereas, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was in his white shorts. Moreover, they posed looking at the camera while holding their hands.

Their bond developed in 1967 when UCLA student Abdul-Jabbar met Bruce Lee through a common friend. The master drew his attention towards Jeet Kune Do and he was fascinated to learn it from Lee. Moreover, when Lee became a star in the 1970s, he approached the NBA legend to play the villain in the film Game of Death. Although they shot the movie in 1972, it was released in 1978, much after the master’s death.

When fans came across the iconic picture, they were thrilled by it. Moreover, they were also excited to see the two legends sharing the frame.

And that movie!🔥”. “Seriously, I am wondering how many photos there are in total of these two incredible humans together”, commented another fan who previously came across similar pictures. 

Some fans hailed the master’s charm stating “Bruce always Cool! ❤️ hero since the 7th grade. 🙌” and “The one and only. He changed the game👊🏾💯”
