The Olympic Champion Nathan Chen is the most wanted sports celebrity in America at the moment. His performance in the Beijing Winter Olympics was spectacular, and he is the only American in decades to have won Olympic gold in figure skating. Nathan is receiving a lot of love from fans and is quite busy in the interviews and media appearances post Olympics.

The 22-year-old figure skater won his first Olympic gold in the men’s figure skating short program, in which he defeated his arch-rival, Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan. Though the competition was tough, Nathan was certainly the best skater amongst the athletes competing in the event.

Nathan Chen received a warm welcome by Anaheim Ducks

Now that the Olympics are over and there’s still plenty of time to decide on his next Olympics plan, Nathan Chen is enjoying a little time off skates. Everywhere he goes, he receives a lot of love and heartwarming welcomes. This time it was from NHL team Anaheim Ducks at the airport. A post was shared from their official mascot, Wild Wing’s twitter handle, captioned, “Welcome back CHAMP.”

He recently went to see a match between Anaheim Ducks and LA Kings. Before the match, the Anaheim Ducks official Twitter handle posted about him attending the match at Honda Center.

The Olympic champion performed on the ‘Rocketman’ in the finals of the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. However, the gold medal wasn’t the only thing that was awarded to him for his marvelous performance. It made his day when the composer of ‘Rocketman,’ Sir Elton John, congratulated him on Twitter. To receive appreciation from the legend himself was very special for the American skater.

To prove how happy he was from the tweet, Nathan said, “I couldn’t believe that he knew I existed. It’s crazy that he did that. And just so special.”
