The United States team won the FIBA u23 World Cup 2023 in Lublin Poland. In the five-day event, the star-studded team showed their grit and defeated every opponent team. They achieved their World Cup glory defeating Israel in the one-sided final game. By the end of the game, the final score was 21-3. And leading the scorecard was none other than former Nebraska Cornhuskers player Trey McGowens III.

Trey comes from an all-basketball family with his parents Bobby McGowens and Pamela McGowens being high school basketball players and his brother Bryce and sister Raina both being basketball players. The love for the game and the passion runs in the family for McGowens.
His brother Bryce was drafted the same season he got undrafted. To recover from a broken bone and the disappointment of being undrafted, Trey has put in the time and work to prove the champion mindset.
