October 6 marked the release of Drake’s much-awaited album, “For All the Dogs.” Drizzy had teased fans for nearly ten long months. This time the album has a total of 23 songs, and collaborations with top artists like SZA, J. Cole, and 21 Savage. It sure is not just “One Dance.” But not many seem to be in awe of it. Could it be a blast from the past? It looks like two rappers are in a battle of words.

Retired American rapper Joe Budden and Drake’s rivalry has its roots in the year 2016. It all started when Budden had called Drake’s album, “Views” “uninspired.” Looks like the feud has now boiled over after simmering for 7 long years. This time, American TV host and Basketball pundit, Stephen A. Smith, talks about it. From the looks of it, Smith might just side with one rapper.

Stephen A. Smith’s famous podcast, The Stephen A. Smith Show, premiers three times every week. Recently, it was all about discussing the Drake-Budden feud this week. As Smith analyzed the arguments posed by the two rappers, he pitched in with new insights. Smith said, “This is where Joe Budden lost me. I’m not, I’m not getting into him and Drake. I want them to come together peacefully and not be enemies. Okay? that’s what I want.” But that was not all.

As Smith weighed on both sides, he said, “Trust you me. Oh yeah, I understand exactly where Drake was coming from. Because Drake is addressing somebody who used to do what he’s doing, that’s all I’ll say about that part.” All this comes after Joe Budden called Drake out in his show, “The Joe Budden Podcast.” Talking about Drake’s new album, Budden had said, “he rappin’ for the children.” However, Drake clapped back at the rapper with, “You have failed at music…”

As Smith’s plea for the rappers to “come together peacefully,” makes headlines, one can only wish for it to come true. That being said, this is not the first time Smith has praised someone from the music industry.

Talking about Swift’s presence at the stadium, Smith was all praises for her. He said, “She’s proven to be along the way, not just an incredible performer, musician, artist, but she’s also a marketing genius. I mean, when we’re gonna stop acting like we don’t know what this is all about? Taylor Swift is playing everybody like a violin.” However, Smith did not want his statement to be taken negatively. He also added, “I’m not saying that disrespectfully… I’m saying that because damn it, I’m jealous. I am jealous of Taylor Swift!”
