The never-ending saga of Dave Portnoy’s bets has taken a new twist. Despite the dip in financial luck, the ‘El-Presidente’ is confident in his analysis as the highly anticipated Rose Bowl awaits us on January 1st. As the Michigan Wolverines take on Alabama Crimson Tide, Portnoy will be barely able to stand on his toes because of his ‘biggest bet’. Or maybe he will sing rhymes.

Portnoy announced earlier that he was putting all his eggs in Michigan’s basket. Although the blues look way stronger, the large sum of money Portnoy has put in might make a normal man shiver. Yet, Portnoy remains confident as he unleashes his rhyming skills to cheer.

Dave Portnoy sings in confidence ahead of the Rose Bowl

Earlier today, Portnoy devised a fun poem to express his confidence in the Michigan Wolverines ahead of the January 1st Rose Bowl. “Roses are red, violets are blue. I just put a million cash on Michigan in Rose Bowl. How about you? See ya Monday”, he sang. Portnoy had a customized Michigan ball in front of him as he looked through red roses. However, he wasn’t satisfied with this version of the poem.

The ever-entertaining Portnoy uploaded another video, trying to weave a different poem on the same rhyme. But he failed as he kept getting distracted by a “puffy eye”. “Roses are red, violets are blue. I bet a million bucks. Yeah, I should end it with go blue“, he expressed. Undeterred by this, he kept the confidence in the Michigans, writing, “Michigan is still gonna roll Bama puffy eye and all’. As Portnoy keeps his calm, how will his bet pane out?

Portnoy’s ‘biggest bet’

A few days earlier, Portnoy announced the ‘biggest bet’ of his life. Portnoy has bid a whopping $1 million on Michigan ahead of the mega clash in California for the coveted Rose Bowl. Prior to announcing this big news, the Barstool Sports owner had revealed that he was on a 5-game losing spree in the NFL. But despite the bad luck, he is confident, more so in his analysis.

“Every bet I lose builds my confidence for the biggest bet of my life 1 week from today”, he wrote in a recent tweet. Portnoy is highly positive on the No. 1 team who has a real chance to take down the Tide. As we wait for Michigan to continue their impressive run, Portnoy remains confident to end his losing streak on Tuesday.
