It was on March 27th, 2022, when the 94th Academy Awards took place. The annual award show, in its history of honoring cinematography, featured a shocking scene. Some thought it was a “skit” when the famous actor, Will Smith, slapped the comedian, Chris Rock, live on stage. The incident occurred because Chris Rock joked about Will’s wife, Jada Smith’s haircut. A year later, Jada Smith announced her separation from her husband, Will Smith. After concealing the news for seven long years, the Hollywood industry is going gaga about it. Even the sports broadcasting world seems to be gripped by the news.

Former NFL player Shannon Sharpe has been the face of commentary for a long time now. Post-retirement, Sharpe has taken to his podcast, “Club Shay Shay,” to discuss athletes and celebrities and talk about the most recent news stories. Recently, Sharpe interviewed the famous American comedian, Bruce Church. The two talked about a wide range of topics. As their conversation developed, Bruce made sure to give his take about the Jada-Will drama. The comedian also shed light on Jada Smith’s “lifestyle.”

It all started when Shannon Sharpe asked the comedian Bruce Church about Chris Rock’s stand-up comedy, “Selective Outrage.” The two talked about Chris Rock telling his side of the “story” after getting slapped on stage. Bruce then made sure to talk about Jada Smith. The clip shared on the Twitter account details the conversation that took place.

The video posted was captioned, “@MyBruceBruce on @jadapsmith not liking Will Smith…” Shedding light on the couple, Bruce said, “When you got a woman that don’t really like you…” As soon as Bruce said those words, Sharpe interjected by saying, “Hold on…you’re not the first man that said this…how they going to be married all these years?”

Bruce was ready with an explanation. “I think she liked the lifestyle. Who she going to marry with that much money? Oprah? Hey, Oprah ain’t gonna have her. You understand what I’m saying? I mean… she’s mean… I could just see it in her face…,” said the comedian. Was that all from Bruce? Certainly not. He had more to add, especially about Oscar’s slap incident.
