The incident took place at the Oscars when Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock. It all started when Chris Rock joked about Jada Pinkett’s hair. This time, a similar incident has come to light, raising questions about the couple’s relationship.

After decades of being together, Jada Pinkett recently made a shocking revelation about their relationship. Before the publication of her biography “Worthy,” Jada disclosed in a recent interview that she and Will had not been together since 2016. Although the couple has not officially divorced. With this news going viral, Tommy Davidson has revealed information about the couple with Shannon Sharpe.

Smith and Davidson had a “run in”

Former NFL player Shannon Sharpe’s podcast “Club Shay Shay,” released its new episode on October 11. Seated with Sharpe was none other than Tommy Davidson. A glimpse of the video, posted on the x handle of the podcast says, “Will Smith Almost Beat Tommy Davidson Up For Kissing Jada Pinkett Smith”. Referring to his encounter with Will Smith, Davidson said, “Me and Will had a run-in… He came into the trailer and I was sitting down. He’s standing over me and he’s like, I don’t appreciate that, man. I don’t appreciate that. And I’m like, What are you talking about? I always know to play it off. And I’m like, What’s going on, man? Tell me what’s happening.”

Describing the whole incident, he added, “And Jada’s going, Will. Will! And I’m saying, What’s happening, man? And he’s like, You tell me what’s happening. Hmm? Hmm? he might do something. I did the snake and got up… And I was still in that posture. I didn’t know what he was talking about, but I knew what he was doing.” After this, Davidson tried to explain what he said to Smith.

Davidson said, “And I was like, ‘Just tell me what’s up.’ And he’s like, ‘You know what’s up.’ So finally I just said, This is a small place and people are here. We should talk about it, me and you outside because it looks like you need to get something off your chest. And Jada was like, ‘Oh nah nah, y’all.’ I was like, What you mean nah y’all? Tell him! And that was the end of that.” This is not the first time Davidson talked about Smith’s actions. He has shared the details of the incident in his 2020 autobiography, ‘Living in Color: What’s Funny About Me.’

Smith went “Gansta” on Davidson

As per Davidson’s autobiography, his encounter with Smith dates back to the time when Davidson was doing a rom-com, ‘Woo’ with Jada Pinkett. As Jada was already dating Will Smith back then, Smith used to make frequent appearances on set. Talking about the encounter, Davidson wrote about how he was not happy with the ending of the film. After talking to the producer, he decided to kiss Jada on the set. Then, when everything had happened, Smith came on Davidson for his actions.

Davidson wrote in his book “Will went all gangsta on me, saying what I did was not cool. There was a moment there when we might have come to blows. My reactive fight-or-flight instinct was triggered and I could have exploded.” Despite this, Davidson says that her friendship with Jada Pinkett has always been helpful. Especially when Jada helped him in his tough times. All this explains the kindness the actress exhibits.
