While he had been lashed out by fans for his playstyle quite recently, Jonathan Owens is in the middle of another foul play controversy. A social media post showcasing the aftermath of his bad move has got fans riled up in anger against him.

Jonathan Owens executes an offhanded two-step plan against the 49ers

The NFL page of Fox Sports tweeted a video on X showcasing the aftereffects of the ugly tackle pulled off by Jonathan Owens. According to the caption, “Here is what led to the personal foul penalty on Trent Williams and the 49ers.” The footage showcased several Green Bay players flocking around Trent Williams and trying to reason with him. But, when Owens closes in, Williams loses his cool.

The San Francisco player shoved Jonathan Owens hard which resulted in him taking a fall. While Owens simply got up and walked away, the referee present on the ground charged Williams with a personal foul. Depending on who one asks, both Owens and Williams can be blamed. However, Owens doesn’t seem to have many supporters in this matter.
