The athlete who represented the University of Oregon in college events spent ten seasons with the team as a wide receiver after becoming the overall 36th pick in the NFL draft. During this time, the 45-year-old athlete has earned six Pro Bowl appearances while representing the orange jersey on the grounds.

Following his successful career as a wide receiver, Chad Johnson has recently revealed another role for the team. While comparing himself to one of the most accurate kickers in the NFL, Justin Tucker, the athlete, recalled his kicking days in a podcast with Shannon Sharpe. A video of the two NFL legends conversing has made waves on social media.

On October 11, Night Cap posted an intriguing clip with the caption “Ocho just wants Shanon to put some respect on his kicking game” from their podcast ‘Nightcap‘ on X. In the video, Chad Johnson revealed that he had been the backup kicker for Cincinnati for the past 11 years. In response to this news, Sharpe snubbed the athlete’s kicking skills by stating, “Good thing he never got hurt.”

Furthermore, to showcase his kicking skills, the former Cincinnati wide receiver recalled the game in the preseason the team won with his effort as the athlete added, “Like you ain’t seen me kick a field goal in the game and kick off when he pulled his groin. We won the game based on one of the field goals I kicked to get one of the extra points. You didn’t see that.”

After Sharpe stated the win as a preseason game, the 45-year-old athlete added, “Are we doing that? Let me tell you what a kicker needs to do. Always knock away from the wind 3 to 5 inches. Boom, problem solved.” Lastly, after Sharpe teased the athlete about why a field kicker would need advice from him, the 45-year-old added, “Why wouldn’t he take advice from me? I am perfect. I have perfect execution. I was Justin Tucker before Justin Tucker.”

Interestingly, this conversation came after Chad Johnson claimed to beat basketball legend LeBron James in a 1-on-1 game. The athlete also claimed to get off the bench for the Miami Heat.

In the NightCap Podcast, Chad Johnson revealed his win against LeBron James. According to the athlete, he beat James with a score of 21-17 for $1,000 as the Cincinnati superstar claimed to “caught him off the dribble.” After revealing this news to Sharpe, who can frequently be spotted at basketball events, the Johnson claimed Carmelo Anthony, D-Wade, and Russell Westbrook could vouch for him as he won against James in the middle of his season preparation. While showcasing his love for the Miami Heats, the athlete also added, “I could come off the bench for the Heat right now.”
