A one-on-one footrace between Usain Bolt and Tyreek Hill has been brewing for a while now. Notably, it was during the NHL All-Star game when the Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver challenged Bolt to a sprint race.

However, Hill finished last in the 40-yard dash in the NFL Pro Bowl Skills Showdown. Thus, Bolt had some pretty savage comments for the WR.

Things have seemed to have changed, though, as Hill has re-solidified himself as a solid contender to Bolt. Now, they’ve gotten into a war of words on Twitter, which, more or less, remains friendly.

Usain Bolt and Tyreek Hill continue hyping up a potential face-off

Eight-time Olympic gold medalist, Usain Bolt, is inarguably the fastest man in the world. After all, he still holds the world records for the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 4×100 meters relay speeds.

Tyreek Hill, who people also call ‘cheetah’ because of his speed in the 40-yard dash, challenged Bolt to a sprint race. Earlier, Hill had raced Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones and won their dash.

Consequently, Seattle Seahawks’ wide receiver, DK Metcalf, came to the fore, challenging Hill to go toe-to-toe with him. With all said and done, Tyreek now took to Twitter to call out Usain Bolt yet again. Hill wrote that he would merely “warm-up on DK,” after which he would come for Bolt.

Bolt, ever the one for a challenge, Tweeted back at Tyreek, with quite a hilarious response. “I think I should race Usain Bolt also,” he wrote. Mentioning how his last name is “literally BOLT,” Usain wrote that he is “definitely the fastest man ever”. Moreover, he also used a ‘shush’ emoji, subtly asking Tyreek to stop thinking he could win.

DIVE DEEPER: ‘He Got Beaten by Some Linebackers’: Usain Bolt Mocks Tyreek Hill, Claims NFL Star is ‘Not Ready’ for Him

Of course, Tyreek Hill wouldn’t be in this conversation at all if he were one to back down. Thus, he tweeted at Usain Bolt again, and this time, he made Bolt a ‘promise’.

“When I beat you, I’ll make sure to sign the cleats and give them to you,” Tyreek Hill wrote on Twitter. Certainly, both men are hyping up their face-off. Meanwhile, we’re not too sure if DK Metcalf would take kindly to being considered a mere ‘warmup’.

Tyreek “ain’t ready” for their matchup, per Bolt

Earlier this month, Usain Bolt had commented on Tyreek Hill’s loss to Micah Parsons in the 40-yard dash at the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown.

Bolt mocked Hill for finishing dead last against Nick Chubb, Trevon Diggs, and Micah Parsons. He called out Tyreek’s (lack of) effort in the race, saying, “he got beaten by some linebackers.”

Therefore, when it comes to a one-on-one sprint race, Bolt believes Tyreek Hill “ain’t ready for this”. After all, the fastest man ought to have some confidence in his own speed too.

“I’m the fastest man in the world, what do you mean?” Bolt said to TMZ Sports when asked how positive he was about the race if it were to go ahead.
