Simone Biles’s Family Approves Jonathan Owens’s $4.5 Million Worth Move To Chicago Bears

From joining the Cardinals in 2018 to attaining steady success through the next two rosters, Jonathan Owens recently rose to bag the most expensive deal of his career. On the 12th of March, early reports surfaced claiming the NFL safety would be signing with the Chicago Bears for a 2-year $4.5 million contract. “We have agreed to terms,” the Bears confirmed today and Owens has more joining in on the celebrations with Simone Biles.

The most decorated gymnast has ensured her support for Owens in every instance. Watching him climb the pinnacle of his career yet has been nothing less of a day to etch forever for Simone Biles. From iterating her pride to being excited about traveling, the gymnast has expressed it all. But today she isn’t alone in embracing the happiness.

Though the news first made waves over a day ago, it wasn’t until the end of 13th March that the Chicago Bears confirmed the claims. Unveiling their new roster sequentially with D’andre Swift and Gerald Everett, the Bears welcomed Jonathan Owens writing, “Flippin’ out over this one.” Simone Biles who caught on the post, took to her Instagram stories to share her excitement. “LFG,” she wrote adding a brown heart.

Further along, arrived the gymnast’s sister Adria Biles who exclaimed, “Yuhhhh OK BIL,” with flames indicating the excitement. Zoe Miller, the Pan Am gold medalist who trains alongside Simone Biles and attended one of Owens’ games followed suit. “woohooo!” she wrote adding two bears.

Jonathan Owens had held a one-year $1.1 million contract with the Green Bay Packers for the 2023 season. The remarkable growth of the recent deal undoubtedly justifies the celebrations that Owens watches flowing in. “The grind never stops! this is just the beginning!” proud Simone Biles previously exclaimed. Owing to the trajectory and the aspects it entails, the NFL safety stands geared up.

Jonathan Owens marked his NFL career when he signed with the Arizona Cardinals as a free agent. But the year and next did not prove fruitful for the rookie thanks to an injury. It was only in 2022 that Owens etched his presence playing for the Houston Texans. After scarcely playing the 2020-21 season, Owens appeared in all 17 games and registered a career-high 125 tackles, four pass breakups, and 1.0 sack.

In 2023, he started 11 of the 17 games and scored his first touchdown against the Detroit Lions. Watching the steady ascent, Simone Biles last year remarked, “In a couple of years, nobody is going to call him, Simone Biles’ husband. They’ll call me Jonathan Owens’ wife.”
