Paulina Gretzky married Dustin Johnson earlier this year. However, the couple had been engaged for nearly a decade before they tied the knot. During their long engagement, Paulina gave birth to two sons. Last year, the eldest daughter of Wayne Gretzky appeared on a podcast and told the shocking tale of how she taught her sons to swim.

The NHL legend’s daughter may have also employed her shocking method on two occasions. Paulina was the much-awaited guest and she spilled the beans on her unique yet terrifying method of teaching swimming.

In 2021, Paulina Gretzky appeared on the “Pillows and Beer” podcast. The hosts, Craig Conover and Austen Kroll, had been trying to get Paulina on the show for a while. During their conversation, the trio went off-topic, and Paulina revealed how she taught her kids to swim. “I just tossed them into the pool. That’s how they learned to swim,” said Paulina.

While her statement startled the hosts, Paulina also mentioned when she did it. “My kids were, like, literally three months old. I mean, not three months, maybe about a year,” Paulina told Craig and Austen. However, the two hosts had different reactions. “That’s amazing,” said one host, while another reacted differently. “Jesus! What’s wrong with you?” said the other host jokingly.

The eldest daughter of Wayne Gretzky has two sons with Dustin Johnson. Her elder son is just over two years older than her younger son. Paulina didn’t mention that she also taught her younger son to swim by tossing him into the pool.

However, according to Paulina, her technique worked.

In September 2014, Paulina announced she was pregnant with her first child. On January 19, 2015, the NHL legend’s daughter gave birth to her first baby boy, Tatum Johnson. Tatum’s father, Dustin Johnson, released a statement after the birth of his son. “Both Paulina and the baby are healthy, resting comfortably,” wrote Johnson. Tatum turned seven this year.

Paulina announced her second pregnancy in February 2017. On June 14, 2017, Dustin and Paulina welcomed their second son. The couple named their younger son, River. Dustin posted a picture of River on his Instagram profile. In the image, Dustin was holding Tatum as he planted a kiss on his brother’s forehead. Meanwhile, Paulina was cradling River in her arms.
