Justin Bieber, in coordination with his own company Drew House and Adidas, has designed the new Maple Leafs jersey. The club revealed the jersey on Tuesday. The reversible journey consists of a blue and black side and a yellow and black side.

Biber has always been a passionate fan of the club and designing their jersey means a lot to him. Notably, this is the first reversible jersey in North American professional sports.

“My love for the Maple Leafs has always been a big part of who I am, and my passion for the team, and the passion of millions of fans, is stitched into this NextGen sweater,” Bieber said.

He took this opportunity to thank the team for allowing him to design the jersey.

“I’m grateful to the Leafs for the chance to team up again to create something so authentic for the team and its fans.”

Therefore on Wednesday, the team wore this jersey in their match against New Jersey Devils. The President of Maple Leafs has revealed that Bieber designing this sweater had made it all the more special.

Why was Bieber chosen to design the jersey?

The Vice President has revealed that it was the athletes themselves who opted for Bieber as their designer. Justin has been a fan of the club since a small age. Right now, he also has his own apparel brand. So it made sense for them to choose Bieber as the designer.

“They wanted to have an influencer like Justin Bieber who has a passion for hockey and a passion for the Leafs so we were excited about what that is because of the global iconic following that he has,” said Brian Jennings.

The jersey also has the Toronto skyline woven into it. This is the 15th alternate uniform in Maple Leafs club history.
