Why did Wayne Gretzky have to suffer from pain?

The dental injury cost him three of his teeth, accompanied by a lot of bleeding, which made him wear braces for a whole week. While talking about it in an interview, he said, “I had this done when I was ten, my parents had spent all this money, we came from a family didn’t have a whole lot of money and had all this braces on and had’em off for one week and hockey stick in the mouth.

Gretzky’s father reiterated his responsibilities saying, “Now, you’re a hockey player”. Mindful of the circumstances.” A couple of years down the line, Gretzky met with another injury that resulted in 25 stitches in his ear.
