Wayne Gretzky flaunted a Tennis attire

Recently, a Facebook and an Instagram fan page of Gretzky shared an old image of the Great One with Cheryl Tiegs. Both looked very young, standing in front of the camera, while taking the picture. Tiegs flaunted a T-shirt that read ‘New York Yankees’ with her usual tennis pants, while Gretzky donned a white shirt and white pants. Both of them held racquets in their hands while posing for the photo.

Evidently, the picture was taken at a charity tennis tournament in 1982. He has already gone pro by then and was playing for the Edmonton Oilers. It was an important year in his career, as he broke the 35-year-old record of Maurice Richard, and was named “Sportsman of the Year” by Sports Illustrated. He also ended up scoring 92 of his career goals during the 1981-82 season.
