In an interview with US Weekly in 2018, Wayne Gretzky was joined by his wife, Janet Jones. The former athlete and Hollywood actress, even in their 50s, chose to live a fitness-indulged life. This was also a motive for none other than the wife of the Great One.

Janet Jones wasn’t going to let Wayne Gretzky sit on the couch the whole day. She still encourages him to do exercises to keep him fit the whole time. Gretzky just couldn’t catch a break!

“Janet makes me go to hot yoga,” Gretzky said. “I do! As you get to your 50s, you’ve got to stay healthy,” Jones told the US Weekly adding, “I’m constantly trying to motivate Wayne to look good in his jeans.” The Great One’s wife was not going to give up on her husband’s health. Even though he is one of the greatest athletes of all time, she still wanted him to stay fit.

To stay fit, the NHL legend and the Hollywood star play tennis and work out most of the time. To date, she is pretty health-conscious which is also mandatory for Gretzky to follow.

The legends married each other on July 16, 1988, after only a year of dating. Surprisingly, the Great One proposed to the Hollywood actress over a phone call! Janet Jones was pregnant with Paulina during their wedding.

The duo were blessed with their first child, Paulina Gretzky on December 19, 1988. In the course of time, Ty was born in 1990, Trevor Douglas in 1992, Tristan Wayne in 2000, and Emma Marie in 2003, respectively. Being a star kid wasn’t easy on any of their children, as people kept their hopes very high for them. Although they have all managed to find their own paths to success.
