All the years of knowing the sport, marrying the most decorated gymnast Simone Biles – you discover a mistake in your professional career. That’s what happened to Jonathan Owens. Hold on, before we head into the depth of what happened, if you don’t already know, Owens currently plays for the Green Bay Packers and signed as a free agent in May 2023.

In the recent NFL season, the 28-year-old added to the veteran depth having called “late hit out of bounds” against Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. However, playing in his sixth year a recent candid interaction with a young fan made Owens rethink what the internet adds to his professional history.

In the chat between Owens and sports enthusiast Beckett K. the little host stumbled when asking Owens about his favorite team, giving a choice between Packers, Texans, Cardinals and Browns and said, “cuz you didn’t really play for the Browns that long..” 

Owens interrupted to clear, “I didn’t play with the Browns that’s T push-ups you got it wrong.” With hesitation young Beckett stated, “that’s they said on a website that…” But how politely Owens took over to add, “ahh the website you got to cross check Wikipedia,” “well it wasn’t Wikipedia,” confirmed Becket while Owens burst out laughing.

Later Owens concluded, “Somebody went edited my Wikipedia and said I played for the Browns was it.” But looks like Beckett had his research handy and corrected, “it wasn’t it was on this place called TR.” However, here’s a peek into Owens’ career paths so far.

Jonathan Owens’ NFL journey so far

Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens has been an eminent player in the 2023–24 NFL season, leaving behind a good impression. Commencing his six years journey as an undrafted player, Owens first signed on to play NFL with the Arizona Cardinals and then the Houston Texans for three of those years during this time he met Simone Biles and began dating in March 2020. Next year, excluded of the 53-man roster, Owens was extended a two-year Texan contract worth $1.75M.
