Back in 2005, Jada got an invitation to perform at the heavy metal festival, Ozzfest, with her band, Wicked Wisdom. However, Will Smith was unsure about the idea of her wife performing at an event that was culturally way different. He was hesitant about the fact that the crowd might not welcome Wicked Wisdom in their musical territory.

Therefore, to prove his point, he jokingly said, “Ozzfest is the least African American event outside of that broom-and-big-a**-hockey puck thing they do at the Olympics.” referring to curling. However, to his surprise, Wicked Wisdom rocked at the Ozzfest. In fact, their presence at the fest later rewarded them with a tour with Guns N’ Roses.
