The 22-year-old gymnastics prodigy Jordan Chiles, has a name beyond being Simone Biles‘ best friend. The Oregon-based artistic gymnast may have missed the World Championships, but didn’t lose hope. Considering her young age and indomitable spirit, the Olympian’s Pan American Games plans are afoot. To laud her career and journey, an iconic social media handle familiarizes Jordan with the World.

As already known, Chiles was a member of the US women’s team at the Tokyo Olympics. Moreover, she also anchored the team to a well-deserved silver. Owing to some minor setbacks at the 2023 Selection Event, the 2021 all-round Winter Cup champion couldn’t make it to the finals this time. However, her practise sessions are in full swing, and as per sources, she is about to ace it in the next event. Having thought of quitting gymnastics once, here’s Jordan Chiles standing tall.

Paris 2024, the Instagram page solely dedicated to the 2024 Summer Olympics, took to their handle to update the world about the rising star. The caption reads, “Silver medallist in Tokyo, Jordan Chiles missed the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, but keeps her mind focused on #Paris2024. The next few months will be key to qualify for the Games, but she already knows how to overcome a challenge.” The Pan American games, scheduled for late October 2023, will witness Chiles in all her glory.

In Paris 2024’s post, the picture series illustrated Chiles’ gymnastic journey, and it was nothing less than magical. The first picture reads, “At 20 years old, she is the rising star of the USA Gymnastics team… Have you heard of Jordan Chiles?” Before the world answered, the next photo boasted her naming and praises. It reads, “Named after basketball legend Michael Jordan, she made her competition debut when she was 12 years old, and won many trophies and medals.” 

The second illustration features her alongside BFF Simone, asserting the GOAT to be a constant comrade. It reads, “At 16 years old, faced with the rigidity of her discipline, she almost quit. Simone Biles convinced her not to, suggesting her join her in her gym in Texas.” Additionally, the next two photos talk about her Olympic appearance and her team silver win. Lastly, having Paris in mind, she said, “I keep telling everybody, I’m not done..”

When Biles got struck with ‘Twisties’, it was Jordan Chiles who helped her overcome the fears and traumas. Biles, who was leading the roster at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, had to withdraw midway. Her team would have kept themselves hanging, but Jordan didn’t let it happen. Besides being Biles’ strongest pillar, she also helped earn the team silver. Similarly, Biles paid her back when the time was right. When Chiles was facing her own challenges and on the verge of giving up on gymnastics, the 26-year-old gave her a similar kind of console.

Chiles claimed that an ex coach had verbally abused her once. They made her feel worse, exactly the opposite of what a coach usually does. They claimed that Chiles she was only encountering obstacles in her professional life. She didn’t feel like she could truly take control of her life until she left her home soil to train with the GOAT in Texas on her own decision. That was the best thing that could’ve happened in her life.
