Great Britain’s finest gymnast was crowned the World Floor Champion in November last year, culminating in one of her greatest crowning achievements till date. At the tender age of 18, she became the youngest British gymnast to attain the feat. A year later, as she withdrew from gymnastics due to her ACL injury, she fondly remembers the breakout event of her career.

Accepting fate and donning a brave demeanor, Jessica Gadirova is ready to face the “tough and long journey ahead,” post her withdrawal from the World Artistic Gymnastics Championship. However, she warmly recalls the time dedicated to the sport and the highlights of her career, offering a glimpse to her fans through her Instagram post.

In her recent Instagram post, Gadirova posted a pic in action, executing the artistry and complexity of her sinews with sensational perfection. Captioning it with ‘Missing It,’ the 19-year-old made the post by seizing the platform with her high-octane choreography. One of the best floor workers worldwide, she is an epitome of talent, dedication, and commitment.

With a score of 14.2 during the World Floor Championship, Gadirova had completed a dominant victory last year. Three-time British champion, she also won the women’s all-around gold at the European Championships in 2023. She is known for producing sensational routines on the board.

Currently undergoing her recovery at the IRU located at Bisham Abbey National Sports Center, her glorious days from the past offer a beacon of hope to stay strong during trying times. The young phenom suffered a knee injury, resulting in a full tear of her ACL. Hence, she withdrew from the remainder of the World Championships in Antwerp in October. Now, she’s contemplating her resurgence with a bang after recuperating in the sanatorium she is in.

Gadirova recently wrapped up her second week at the IRU. With intense sessions aimed at recovery, stability, and mobility, she offered a gander at her week’s schedule via her post. While the post focuses on her resiliency and positivity, she also highlighted that the backdrop involves battling the negative, intrusive thoughts to keep moving.

With the forthcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, it is yet to be seen if Gadirova will be a part of it. In a recent interview, she mentioned, “At this point I don’t know for sure how long, but I’ll be doing everything I can with the support of those around me to return to the sport I love as soon as I can.” Thus, she is currently focused on healing at the rehab.
