“I think being in college is giving me a lot of perspective of going back into the real world, and that has just been so much fun. I’m just enjoying myself, taking it one step at a time. It sounds a little boring, but I guess it’s just true.” This being said, her academic turning point happened a while ago. The sporting prodigy and fashion model began her studies in late 2022. But instead of considering herself a part-timer in any of her pursuits, she sees herself as a ‘full-timer’ in all of her endeavors.

Gu, who was born and raised in the US, showed her brilliance in academics now and then. She achieved an SAT score of 1580 out of 1600, demonstrating that she was just as skilled in the classroom as on the slopes. Furthermore, she asserted, “I will continue to follow my different passions. I’ve always been a huge proponent of living a balanced lifestyle, so now I am really channeling my creativity and my self-expression through skiing, fashion, and academics.”
