Ryan Lochte has delivered some unbelievable performances over the years, and it has changed the sport of swimming. Despite Lochte setting some high standards from his exceptional performances in swimming, his personal life always grabs everyone’s attention. Tyler Henry, the American reality show personality, recently brought out a very personal incident from his life. Ryan’s response after the revelation is certainly worth watching. 

In October, Hollywood medium arranged a special meeting between Ryan Lochte and Tyler Henry. 

Tyler’s skills shocked Ryan Lochte

Tyler started bringing out details from Ryan’s childhood and about his grandfather. Ryan was in a state of shock after listening to some of the incidents, as it was very personal to him. “My question was, how are you doing this?” he said. 

However, things got serious when Tyler brought up the contribution of Ryan’s maternal grandfather to his Olympic journey. Tyler said that he was getting visuals about swimming and training. Tyler explained the meaning of the visuals to Ryan that his grandpa wasn’t physically present but was praising him before he finished a monumental race. He said, “I am not here physically but I am with you and I am thinking about you before you do this and he praises you.”

“This Is Freaking Awesome”: Ryan Lochte Gets Teary-Eyed While Reminiscing About His Maiden Olympic Campaign

Ryan’s eyes lit up as things clear up in his head. He revealed remembering his grandfather in the middle of his record-breaking medley in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Ryan said, “I just remember looking up at the ceiling and being like if you are up there help me (grandpa).” Ryan remembers that he got a burst of speed in the last five to ten meters, which was the reason for his successful record-winning performance. The Olympic medalist was overwhelmed to realize that his grandpa was looking out for him. 

The meeting changed Ryan Lochte’s perception towards Tyler Henry

Ryan confessed to Tyler that his wife (who was his fiance then) was a huge fan of Tyler’s skills. He said, “She loves Tyler and watches his show all the time”. Tyler told him about Kayla Lochte’s plan of writing a book. This shocked both Ryan and Kayla as they were thinking of the exact same thing. 

Ryan also accepted that he always doubted the credibility of Tyler’s shows, but he was looking forward to experiencing his skills. However, during the interview, Ryan Lochte became a believer in Tyler’s capabilities. “You could say I am a believer,” Ryan acknowledged.
