Following along, the first week of Feb only offered better for the 27-year-old at the Pan-American Olympic Games Qualifier Wrestle-off.

Double victory for the wrestling star
On the 3rd of Feb, Kayla Miracle contested among numerous wrestling stars in a fight for the Pan-American qualification to be held later in the month. The event will further provide an ensured pathway to the 2024 Paris Olympics. Miracle, in the 62kg weight category, defeated 2023 World silver medalist Macey Kilty, for 2-1 in the finals series. In the first of the matches, the Olympian landed a 3-2 win with a body lock to step out to conclude.

Macey Kilty took home the next one at 6-3 to take the series to round 3 for a deciding match. With a takedown and a four-point inducing fireman’s carry, got Miracle 9-2, which led her to the top. In winning the series, Kayla Miracle earned herself recognition from the U.S. Air Force Special Warfare to be named the USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week. Adding a second feather to her hat for the week. Furthermore, the 27-year-old wrapped her fortune, becoming one of the 4 wrestlers securing a spot at the Pan-American Olympic Games Qualifier; inching closer to the Paris Olympics.

A dream furthered to the Paris Olympics
“It’s not just about showing up,” Miracle told USA Today during her 2020 qualification. “It’s putting on a show and being a different animal because I have to take it. Everybody wants to win an Olympic gold medal, but there’s only one in my weight class. Only one of us can get it, and it’s going to be me.” However, the medal was lost to Japan’s Yukako Kawai in the 62kg weight category. Bouncing back nonetheless, Kayla is well on the Paris Olympics path.

The 27-year-old will be joined by Dom Parrish and Amit Elor in Women’s freestyle across various weight categories. The showdown for the ultimate chance for the Paris Olympics will be decided from Feb 28th to March 1st in Acapulco, Mexico.
