Taylor recently highlighted where both tennis and Boccia intersect and differ. According to Taylor, three things are alike between the two. Primarily, it is the “strategy, when I’ll have to be offensive, and when to defend.” Secondly, he credits tennis for being a three-dimensional game that has added a depth of perception to his understanding. Furthermore, he adds, “They’re both games of geometry. It’s all about angles.”

One should also recognize the differences between both games. “Number one, in the sport of tennis, you’re moving a whole lot all over the place. You know, in boccia, you’re moving in and out of your box, a little bit in your box,” Taylor adds. The second difference pertains to time. “In Boccia, it’s quick and, you know, you either won or you lost.”  Tennis, on the other hand, keeps on going with each move. Thirdly, in Boccia, “each ball is only worth one point,” Taylor remarked further about the game.
