But the expectations were exceeded and brilliance was achieved. In the next six and more decades, Arden Hills rose to its peak and nurtured athletes to their maximum potential.
With 33 Olympic medals (22 Olympic gold), Arden Hills became the center of excellence. It has served as a venue for 58 Olympic Qualifiers and hundreds of collegiate athletic scholarships. The greatness of this center of excellence is recognized globally and has appeared on the cover of many magazines. And now the Legacy is being passed on in the hands of the new.

Old glory preserved in a brand-new idea
The legacy of Arden Hills is being passed on to the new. All with the hopes that it will get bigger and better. The facility that has given the country countless Olympic medals will be in the hands of new management and new leadership. According to a report by KCRA3, Life Time is buying Arden Hills and converting it into a lifetime center.
After achieving and exceeding expectations and nurturing athletic champions for decades, the place will be closing its doors on December 31. With the new year and new management, they will be working to open by early 2024 by the name Life Time Arden.
In a letter to its club members, Arden has called this transition both emotional and exciting. The main challenge they face is preserving the legacy of Arden Hills. With the ideas and methods of Sherm Chavoor, this facility has nurtured the best of the best, giving the best Olympic results.

Preserving the Olympic Legacy
Life Time has the experience and ability to handle something on this large scale. Managing the place will not be that big of a challenge. The bigger challenge lies in the history of that place. It is the preservation of the legacy of that place. In the letter to their members Arden Hills assured, “Not only will Life Time preserve the legacy of this property, but they will infuse it with new energy, excitement, and passion”

Arden is a place of athletic heritage and should be preserved accordingly.
