Aleksander Kilde, While Recovering, Puts Up a Smile to Appreciate Partner Mikaela Shiffrin Over Her Career-Defending Win

For the last few days, the Alpine Ski racing sensation, Mikaela Shiffrin, spent her days in a worried mood. The reason was her boyfriend, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde’s injury while having a ski race in the World Cup Downhill, Wengen. The 28-year-old ski racer fervently appeared in the hospital when the bed-ridden Aleksander needed her by side. As a result, the couple created gilded goals for all the stakeholders out there. Now, Mikaela Shiffrin had her turn to receive the same warmth from beau, in the best of her health. 

In the glissade of Jasna, Mikaela Shiffrin achieved an untouched milestone on January 21. Soon after, the ailing Aleksander Aamodt Kilde appeared on Instagram to let her know his presence in aesthetics.

The World Cup slalom in Jasna, Slovakia was all set to watch the mouthwatering fight between Mikaela Shiffrin and her archrival, Petra Vlhova. But after sustaining an injury, the Olympic slalom winner opted to stay away from appearing on Sunday. However, that didn’t hold Mikaela back from trying her best in the event. Eventually, she had her last laugh after defeating Zrinka Ljutic in the last run. It was the 95th career win for the ski racer who already has two Olympic gold medals. Soon after, the ski racing community witnessed Aleksander Aamodt Kilde penning, “Holyyyy!! ” with the emojis of crown and heart in his IG story. The deep-rooted post had the timing taken by Shiffrin in the contest.

It was 1:48.21, just 0.14 seconds away from the Croatian prodigy. But what it couldn’t frame was the shadow Mikaela Shiffrin created in the World Cup. Reportedly, the Sunday victory posed in the history book with multiple hues. One was the aforementioned record. But with that, Mikaela Shiffrin’s tormenting nature was also evident. It was her 58th win in the World Cup, a record by itself. Moreover, the record also gave a view of the phenomenal form the Alpine ski racer is going through this season. As Vlhova is away with a season-ending injury, now Mikaela Shiffrin is almost on her way to gaining her eighth World Cup title. But the injury stint in the World Cup isn’t showing any hint of stopping.

The injuries’ take on the event 

Mikaela Shiffrin couldn’t evade the situation when she saw Vlhova ending her season, succumbing to an injury. “I have been thinking about [Vlhova] a lot the last 24 hours,” Shiffrin said in her response. It almost touched the moment as the American legend saw her boyfriend going through the same experience in Wengen last month.

Aleksandar is yet to get his fitness, hoping for a comeback next season. The 2x World Champion Alexis Pinturault had the same fate there, with a decimated ACL. Despite all these incidents, Mikaela Shiffrin tried to stay on the champion’s side in Jasna. That came out majestic after the saddening weeks in the World Cup.
