Everyone possesses their own unique ways of ringing in the new year and alpine skiing queen Mikaela Shiffrin commenced 2024 with one of the most endearing surprises and a smile riven on her face. 2023 has been an incredible year for Shiffrin. She has proved her prowess this year by securing multiple triumphs in 2023. She clinched gold in the giant slalom and also won her 87th World Cup. With this feat, she became the alpine skier with the most World Cup wins. Professional wins notwithstanding, Kilde seemed to rise to the occasion to keep his lady love happy.

To cap off the start of the year, her boyfriend Aleksander Kilde meted the cherry on top of the cake by making sure to commemorate the New Year tailormade to her needs. The power couple were miles apart during this event. However, a promise was fulfilled by Kilde that lit up Shiffrin’s 2024 in the most joyous manner.

Kilde is indeed a man of refined tastes

Kilde, being the man of his word, stood on his promise and bequeathed Shiffrin the gift of spending ample quality time with her. He was in Bormio, Italy prior to the New Year, latitudes and longitudes away from the love of his life. However, a promise was made by him that he would spend his new year with Mikaela Shiffrin.

This is not the first time they have emanated couple goals. Mikaela Shiffrin sent immense support for his boyfriend during the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2023/24.

Skiing legend sends support for her boyfriend 

The Audi FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup was a stressful time for the skiers and for Kilde as well. He had a great start, but eventually stumbled upon some setbacks. He faced a DNF downhill, which is one nightmare for skiers. However, he stood right back up after a recent win, and his biggest cheerleader was his girlfriend, Mikaela Shiffrin.

Kilde took to his X account to express his experience about the win. It was a relief for him after facing the downhill.
