Mikaela Shiffrin is often referred to as one of the greatest Alpine skiers of all time. She keeps on enduring at the sport without any competition. She has won an astonishing 55 World Cup slalom races, which makes her the top athlete of all time. The recent victory in the slalom race in Finland is truly an amazing feat as it marks her 91st international win, surpassing the previous record of 86 wins.

Following her father’s death, Mikaela had a difficult road back to the top. However, the current Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2023-24 has already started and Mikaela Shiffrin had a great beginning. However, Shiffrin recently received support from her “Big fans” making an impact on the next generation as well.

Recently, Mikaela Shiffrin shared her Instagram story 5 hours which was before her ongoing  Lienz Giant Slalom race. It was a re-shared story of Bella Chanel Wright. The story showed Mikaela Shiffrin in ski gear alongside a group of children who also were in alpine skiing attire. In the reel, Mikaela cheerfully exclaimed, “Okay, I’m here with SBSEF, say hiiii,“ adding, “I’m your big fan.“ The kids further wished her “good luck” for the race.

The caption read, “and they are big fans of @mikaelashiffrin also and wanted to send her some good luck vibes for tomorrow’s race!! @sbsef,”. However, as it’s 28 the ongoing race saw Mikaela Shiffrin winning in run 1 as she continues her impressive streak.

Mikaela Shiffrin’s brilliance on the slopes was evident in her recent performances. Her dominance in this discipline is unparalleled, having claimed seven season-long titles. She embodies a force in skiing, setting standards that seem almost unfair. “But when I get that right, I can feel the power of the turn. And it’s a very different feeling. It’s really hard to do. … It’s not something that’s fully visible to most people watching, but it’s a drastically different feeling. And it’s one of the feelings that’s like the hardest to repeat.” said Shiffrin. Despite narrowly missing out on victory to her rival Petra Vlhova, her consistent excellence remains astonishing.
