It was not long ago since the skier fell in love with dogs. Vonn had undergone two serious knee surgeries. In 2014, before her second injury that she adopted her first dog, Leo, who also had a bad knee. Leo was hit by a speeding car. In an Instagram post, empathizing with the dog, she wrote, “Maybe we can do rehab together.”

Vonn shared the benefits of furry love to mentally prepare the Olympians in 2021
Vonn was in a wrecked state after her knee injuries. Suffering from depression was one of the reasons why she started adopting dogs. Furthermore, she underscored how dogs helped her to regain hope and lift her spirits. “It definitely did the trick.”

Vonn teamed up with Allianz to share the positivity and support the athletes emotionally as they prepare themselves for the Games. With a noble motive of helping the athletes ease their stress because of uncertainty brought on by the pandemic, Vonn and the SupportDogSquad make an effort to keep the athlete’s mental state in a good shape. “Being with dogs makes you happier,” she said.
