

Lindsey Vonn is an Olympic legend. In 2010, Vonn won Olympic gold in the downhill skiing event and became the first American woman to do so. Besides the gold, Vonn also won a bronze medal in 2010. Vonn won another Olympic bronze in 2018. However, Vonn ruled the World Cup for most of her career. She has won five world cups, three of them consecutively.

She also holds the record for most event wins at the world cup with 82. This year the retired alpine skiing legend celebrated Thanksgiving with her entire family. Even her pet dogs were present. However, she missed someone special.

A bittersweet Thanksgiving for Lindsey Vonn
The Olympic gold medals posted many pictures on her Instagram to commemorate Thanksgiving 2022. However, this year’s Thanksgiving was a bittersweet affair for Lindsey. “This was a Thanksgiving of family appreciation. I miss my Mother more than anything, especially during the holidays,” Vonn wrote.

“But my heart is full because of the way my family stuck together and supported each other. I know my Mom would be proud of us. ❤️” She also added. The Alpine skiing legend chronicled her whole through pictures. She even posted a picture with her three pet dogs.

The Olympian lost her mother in August. Vonn wrote a heartfelt tribute to her mother on her Instagram page. However, fans had her back. Everyone in the comments section gave their condolences to Lindsey.

Olympic silver medalist Alise Willoughby also posted a “❤️” However, many fans had kind words for the Olympic gold medalist. “I’m sorry I feel the same way about mine she really was the glue that kept it together. I hope you still enjoyed the holiday. 💎,” said one user.
