When it comes to skiing, Lindsey Vonn needs no introduction. She is an American former World Cup alpine ski racer on the US Ski Team. Vonn has four world cup titles to her name. She has three consecutive titles in her name for the years 2008, 2009, and 2010, and the last one for 2012. Her illustrious career has served as an inspiration to many ski racers.

It looks like our ski racer isn’t just inspiring players through her dedicated sport. Back in 2019, the NFL’s greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, also once took inspiration from Vonn regarding something other than sports.

The pro-tip he wanted from Lindsey Vonn

As Lindsey Vonn dominated the ramp, she caught the interest of NFL player Tom Brady. The 45-year-old once wanted to impress his wife, Gisele Bundchen, during his ski trip with the help of Vonn.

“I’ve actually been studying Lindsey,” Brady said and continued, “She’s just got a way bigger hill, way more speed, and she’s perfectly balanced.” It looks like the NFL player took notes to impress his ex-wife as they were preparing for their upcoming ski tour. 

“So [I think I just] need a way bigger hill and way more speed!” Brady said and continued, “That’s what it’s gotta be — let’s go!” After watching her videos where she rode down the slopes at the Winter Olympics. The Instagram post above that Brady made caught the eye of Vonn.

“Dude… this is pretty awesome,” Vonn commented on the post and also shared, “Pro tip — stay balanced over your skis.” She also gave Brady a pro tip that would have helped him during his trip. 

Brady’s early skiing experience

Nonetheless, Brady wasn’t new to skiing. He has been skiing before with his friends. Once, his skiing friend Drew Bledsoe, who is also a former NFL quarterback, talked about his skiing experience with Brady.

He had a pretty awful experience while skiing with Brady; he said. Bledsoe even mentioned that Brady’s ex-wife was better at skiing than him.
