The sibling bond
Vonn has four siblings, Karin, Reed, Dylan, and Laura. Laura and the two brothers Reed and Dylan are triplets, but her sister Karin looks strikingly similar to Lindsey, so much so that she’s nicknamed Lindsey’s twin. During their childhood, Vonn’s family moved to Vail so that she could pursue skiing as a career.

She is particularly close to her sister Karin among her siblings. They have made notable appearances on several occasions. They include the Time 100 Gala and the ESPYs event in Hollywood, California and Jurassic Park Premiere.

Also, when Vonn was going through her divorce, she relied on her for support. “I had been confiding in my sister Karin, and she was helping me decide what to do with my life,” the skiing star said in an interview.
After her bronze medal win in the 2018 Olympics, she rushed to her sister to share her joy. Laura, one of her sisters shared about the long, painful journey to NBC News. “I’ve been with Lindsey through all of her leg surgeries and rehab and Karin was with her through all of her elbow rehab, which is really intense,” she said. “We’ve just been nursing her back to health, basically.”

Additionally, Karin Kildow is a founding member of the Lindsey Vonn Foundation. It is a non-profit organization committed to empowering and inspiring female youth to achieve their dreams by overcoming obstacles and improving self-esteem.
