In addition to her impressive alpine skiing career, which includes several world titles and Olympic gold medals, Lindsey Vonn is admired for her elegance, business acumen, grace, and strong will.

It’s safe to say that her fearlessness and independence of thought probably stem from growing up in a household with several strong women, especially Karin Kildow, her sister. The two have demonstrated their bond on several occasions. The sister duo is spotted in stunning costumes, partying, posing, and clicking pictures together.

As noticed in many of her Instagram posts, it is interesting to know that Karin Kildow has a special connection to Red Bull which is one of the biggest sponsors of Lindsey Vonn.

Karin Kildow is a renowned social and digital strategist for athletes, public figures, and mission-based brands. She gained experience in different companies serving different positions. Recently, she went to Harvard Business School for an Executive Program in Business, Entertainment, Music, and Sports. Also, her Linkedin profile states that she is the founder and CEO of The Content Capital group.

One of her noteworthy positions is as a field marketing specialist at Red Bull. She collaborated closely with athletes to curate social material during high-pressure world tours and events including the 2018 Winter Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics, 2015 Summer X Games, etc. She has posted several pictures on social media flaunting her Red Bull brand connections.

Karen is also an actress. She has acted in the movies ‘Lindsey Vonn: The Climb’ and ‘Lindsey Vonn: The Final Season.’

The sibling bond

Vonn has four siblings, Karin, Reed, Dylan, and Laura. Laura and the two brothers Reed and Dylan are triplets, but her sister Karin looks strikingly similar to Lindsey, so much so that she’s nicknamed Lindsey’s twin. During their childhood, Vonn’s family moved to Vail so that she could pursue skiing as a career.

She is particularly close to her sister Karin among her siblings. They have made notable appearances on several occasions. They include the Time 100 Gala and the ESPYs event in Hollywood, California and Jurassic Park Premiere.

Also, when Vonn was going through her divorce, she relied on her for support. “I had been confiding in my sister Karin, and she was helping me decide what to do with my life,” the skiing star said in an interview.

After her bronze medal win in the 2018 Olympics, she rushed to her sister to share her joy.  Laura, one of her sisters shared about the long, painful journey to NBC News. “I’ve been with Lindsey through all of her leg surgeries and rehab and Karin was with her through all of her elbow rehab, which is really intense,” she said. “We’ve just been nursing her back to health, basically.”

Additionally, Karin Kildow is a founding member of the Lindsey Vonn Foundation. It is a non-profit organization committed to empowering and inspiring female youth to achieve their dreams by overcoming obstacles and improving self-esteem. It is endearing to discover that the siblings support one another no matter what.
